Introduction

The Asian PGA Golf Learning centre based at Palm
Resort in Senai, Johor provides an opportunity to learn about every
aspect of the game of golf.

The principle teachers involved in providing that
tuition are of an international standard.

The diversity of coaching is extreme in that all
aspects of the sport will be covered from the history, regulations
and rules, to the techniques required to coach and the science that
goes along with this.? Studies will also be provided in equipment,
diet, health and exercise.

Courses will vary from 1/2 day to 18 months with
week long residential classes being initiated in January 2003.

The Fundamentals of Golf
The Asian PGA Golf Academy will provide opportunities
to learn and practise all aspects of the game of golf through a variety of programmes.?
Clubs, balls and other equipment will be made available to all levels of golfers
who attend the ?Institute?.
Scope and Operation
The scope of the learning programmes will encompass all levels of golfers, juniors,
seniors, amateurs, professionals and ladies, without respect to background or
religious belief.? The Golf Academy will initially focus on Johor, the
rest of? Malaysia and Singapore.
On an international front, it is hoped to secure regional outlets in a number
of affiliated countries that will provide a feeder system to the Golf Academy
based in Johor.
It is the Asian PGA?s hope that the focus of golf learning for Asia as a whole
will be in Malaysia.
Operation will include an increasing number of qualified staff at Palm Resort
and will incorporate regional countries catered for by highly qualified staff
members.? All senior managers will report to Directors based at the Golf
Academy at Palm Resort.
